Being a vegetarian on the go can be hard sometimes. Fast food is a bunch of meat and the veggie options are straight nasty. A few months ago, a new Panera Bread opened up close to my house. I’d never had them before, so I decided see what all the talk was about. Panera is a bakery, sandwich and salad franchise that also sells smoothie’s and their famous teas. Their veggie option are a little limited but they make up for it with the delicious Mediterranean veggie sandwich.
The Mediterranean Veggie Sandwich consist of zesty peppadew piquant peppers, feta cheese, cucumbers, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and cilantro jalapeño hummus on tomato basil bread. You can get it half with a soup or salad and chips, or whole with just chips. This sandwich is SO good that I always get the whole with no onions and their kettle chips! The Mediterranean Veggie is only 590 calories so I don’t feel guilty after going hard in the gym when I treat myself to this for lunch or dinner.
I encourage you to try this treat soon, oh and the candy cookie is amazing too! Lol!
