This year I decided to take better care of my skin. I’ve done pretty ok so far but I thought it was time to up the ante, I guess. I follow a few bloggers and beauty gurus that rave about the different beauty products that the find at TJ Maxx/Homegoods so I decided to check a few out myself. My first try is the Charcoal Face Mask by Nature Beauty. Activated Charcoal has many benefits including lowering cholesterol, reducing bloating and gas, and even prevent hangovers.
The Charcoal face mask is said to be infused with bamboo charcoal to help draw out dirt and impurities from pores.
Tea Tree Oil penetrates deep into pores to dry out blackheads without drying skin. Botanical extracts soothe and tone the skin.
Before applying the mask, I washed my face with Dr. Bronner’s Peppermint Soap. The mask comes folded in the pouch. I gently unfolded the mask and applied it to my skin. The mask is pretty soft and comfortable, and it doesn’t slide off of your face if you’re moving around while its on. I left it on for the full 20 minutes and massaged the left over oils into my skin.
The instructions say to use the mask 2-3 times a week and I’ve used it twice already. I can honestly say it works pretty good and my pores, especially my nose, feel pretty clean! I got the Charcoal Face Mask for $3 and it comes in a box of 5. You know how TJ Maxx/Homegoods is, every store doesn’t carry the same product and you may have to hunt it down. I was however able to find the site that you can buy it from HERE. It’s $15 on the site though so I would just hunt for the deal. 🙂
