Wow! Wow! Wow! You MUST watch this video. What makeup can do to a person amazes me everyday! Cosmetic brand Dermablend provided their Professional Leg and Body Tattoo Primer and Leg and Body Cover to 3 makeup artist to cover model Rick Genest’s skeletal tattoos from the waist up. It took the makeup artist one day and 4 tubes of the products to cover up the 26 year old fashion model’s tattoos. If you think Rick looks quite familiar, he was in Lady GaGa’s “Born This Way” video and in several editorial ads. Again, WOW!

Maybelline FIT Me Update… FIT Me NOT!!!

It’s been a few months now since I’ve been using the Maybelline FIT ME brand. I decided to go through the whole summer wearing FIT Me because it was light and I just wasn’t in much of a make-up buying mood. So last week I finally ran out of my FIT Me pressed powder. I was like “Ok cool, I’ll just go pick up some more, hey it’s light and cheap!” So I hopped on over to my local Target after work and picked up the powder, which was on sale.

The next morning, while putting on my make-up I noticed that the powder I bought (355), looked a little lighter in the package. I just shrugged it off and put it on anyway. BUT then it looked lighter on my face as well. I shrugged it off again and decided to let it “set” in my skin. When I got to work I looked in the mirror and I felt like my face looked ashy! BIG NO NO! I thought it was just me so I put it on a second day and asked my husband what he thought. He agreed and said it made my face look lighter and ashy as well. I was soooooo done by then! We made it a point to visit MAC that same day and pick up my best friend… NW45 Studio Fix powder.

So in the end, I will no longer be purchasing the FIT Me pressed powder. I still have the other products and they work fine. I’m thinking Maybelline probably changed the formula or something! I’m still wearing the same MAC foundation so I highly doubt my complexion has changed much during the summer. Oh well FIT Me…. it was fun while it lasted…peace out!

Her Boyfriend Did Her Makeup?!?!

Yep, you read the title right! I ran across this super cute video on another blog and just had to share it with you guys. Dezirae had the guts to let her boyfriend do her makeup and shoot it! Review: L’Oreal Studio Secrets Professional Face Primer

In efforts to preserve my daily makeup wear, I decided to invest in and try out a good face primer. I at first had my eyes on a NYX face primer but one of my Wal-Mart runs led me else where. I spotted the L’Oreal Studio Secrets Professional Face Primer and just had to try it. So I coughed up $10 ( LOL I was being cheap, especially cause the jar is so little.) and bought the primer.

From day one I was impressed by the primer. I did have to get used to it though. It’s very thick and you kind of have to buff it into your skin. I was also a little scared because it made my skin look a little ashy. But, after I put on my foundation or powder, it set in very well.

My skin, really my t zone, get’s really oily during the day. Sometimes not even an hour after I put my makeup on . The L’Oreal Studio Secrets Professional Face Primer helps tame that though. Now that I started using this product, I go most of the day (about 8 hours) without an oil spill! I think I’m in LOVE! LOL

If you’ve been itching to try a new face primer, I HIGHLY recommend the L’Oreal Studio Secrets Professional Face Primer. You can pick up this bad boy at your local drug store for about $10.

I’m Cheating On MAC With Maybelline Fit Me!

For some time now I’ve been wanting to try a new foundation. For about 10 years, I’ve been a MAC foundation girl, NW45 Studio Fix powder to be exact. Recently I saw the fabulous new Maybelline Fit Me commercial with Jessica White. I thought to myself, hmmm Jessica is around my complexion and it fits her so maybe I should try that foundation! My second Fit Me sighting was on beauty blogger Eileen’s site, Miss Whoever You Are. Eileen wears MAC’s NW45 as well so I was like ok I’m sold now, I’ll try it!

I went to Walmart and I got the whole line except for the powder (and Bronzer, may get it later). Walmart had two powders left but one was cracked and one was already opened. I then ran over to a nearby Walgreens and they had the powder. My collection was complete! The Maybelline Fit Me Collection comes with (each sold separately):
