The winter months can really take a toll on your hair. I know that mines has been ALL over the place. As many of you may already know, I have a blue color block in the front of my head. My hair was bleached to achieve this color so it can get very dry at times.
While home on my day off last week,
I decided at the last minute that I NEEDED a deep conditioner. Contrary to popular belief I do not keep a bunch of hair products at the house, just the necessities really; mainly because I do my hair more at the salon than at home. So because of that, I whipped up a quick deep conditioner with 3 simple products that you may already have at home. Ready for it? Ok, here it goes:
1. Your favorite deep conditioner ( My favorite at home container is Clear Ultra Shea Conditioner).
2. Coconut oil.
3. Pure shea butter.
Simple right?!?! Take a generous amount of each product, mix it together, apply to wet hair, and voila! Deep conditioner! You can sit under the dryer for 20-30 minutes, walk around then rinse, or leave it on all day like I did. After sitting, rinse with cool water and mold, dry and style as usual. You can do this type of deep conditioner bi-weekly. The biggest thing is to remember to give your hair some extra TLC during these dry winter months.
