Well, 80% vegan, or if you want to call it a “plant based lifestyle” :-). And the reason I said 80% is because I ate cheese this past Saturday, but that’s about the end of that. A few weeks ago I woke up fed up, fed up of being fat, fed up of the up and down struggle of trying to eat healthy. Now, I’ve had this feeling before, and started, then stopped, but this time felt different. It’s like a light bulb went off. I needed to renew my mind concerning the junky foods that I was eating. That meant going back to the basics; reading and watching the documentaries that helped me before to understand why certain foods are bad for me.
Renewing the mind is so important when it comes to changes we want to make in our lives. We often are willing to renew our minds concerning spirituality, finances, and so many other things but when it comes to health, we think we can do it ourselves. I know I did! So, I decided to stop trying to do it myself and allow God to show me how and why I need to change my food choices/lifestyle. Let me tell you, it’s not easy but it works! Because I chose to put things before my eyes that showed me how and what to eat, I am constantly reminded of those things when I’m “tempted” or have cravings.
The day I got fed up I started blogging my thoughts and journey. I’m not sure when I will compile and release the footage, but I do plan on talking about my journey here and on my youtube channel.
