Bigger Boobs Equal Bigger Confidence?

Bigger Boobs Equal Bigger Confidence?
At home today, enjoying my day off, I decided to tune into MTV’s True Life: I don’t like my small breasts. They followed two young ladies on their quest to gain bigger breast without giving into plastic surgery. The first young lady, a go-go dancer, wanted bigger breast to help further her career. She also believes she will have more self confidence, despite her fiance’ telling her she is beautiful the way she is. She decides to order a supplement to “naturally” enhance her breast first. Fast forward to the end, the “natural” supplement doesn’t work and she decides to save money to get a breast enhancement. The second young lady, a freshman in college and professional dancer, wants bigger breast with hopes that it will help her land a position on a professional football team’s cheerleading squad. It doesn’t help that her mother is pushing her to do the surgery. In the end, through the help of a therapist, she decides that she doesn’t need bigger breast and that she is happy with the way she looks.

I don’t have the so-called “physical issue” these ladies have, I’m very well off in that area. BUT I have dealt with low self confidence in other physical areas. It’s a shame that society has placed it in our head that Double D’s, fair skin, straight hair, and/or a thin figure can gain confidence and acceptance in this world. We as women must accept our differences, stop seeking others opinion on what is “beautiful”, and stand up and say “I LOVE WHO I AM AND I AM BEAUTIFUL”!

Ask TheHaiRazor: Going Natural

Going Natural
I would like to introduce you, the readers of TheHaiRazor.com, to an new feature on the site, “Ask TheHaiRazor”. With this feature, I will be answering all your beauty questions. You can submit your questions here on the site, Facebook, and Twitter! My first question comes from one of my Facebook fans Marie:

Okay were do I began?
I have been contemplating about going natural because it seems like the relaxers have been causing my hair to reach a point of no return. Help me Hair razor I NEED YOUR HELP!!!!! How do I train my hair for the natural look? Currently I have braids in my hair, but afterward I do not know what to do!!!
P.S. could you tell me what products to use also please?

Marie,
First let’s start with the your hair issue with relaxers. Are you doing your own relaxers or getting them done professionally? If you are doing your own relaxers, I would recommend for you to STOP RIGHT NOW! You’re doing more harm by doing your own relaxers. You may be over-processing your hair, you’re not seeing exactly where the new growth ends and the previously processed hair begins. So if you want to stay on the chemical train, seek a professional hair stylist.

Ok so now let’s get to the nitty gritty of your question, natural hair! Going from relaxed to natural is not a simple process. You have two choices in this matter, cut all the relaxed hair off and start from fresh, or gradually grow your relaxer out and cut the relaxed ends little by little along the way. You can continue to wear braids until your hair grows out to a length you like or try sew-ins. When finally to the natural state you like, you can wear you hair out, in twist, curly, pressed etc. Styling also depends on how your hair is in it’s natural state. Jane Carter Solutions have great products for natural hair. I especially love the Nourish and Shine Cream. Also take a look at these natural hair care sites:

For The Love Of CHI!!!

CHI 44 Iron Guard
I woke up this morning feeling GOOD, slept real GOOD. So I got out of bed, walked into the bathroom, looked in the mirror and notice my hair wasn’t looking so GOOD at all! I guess all that GOOD sleep didn’t do so GOOD on my hair! In times like this I have to resort to re-curling my whole head, which I sometimes dread. To protect my hair from the heat of my flat iron, I use CHI 44 Iron Guard. I just spray all over before I curl my hair. It’s especially great for long hair that is natural or relaxed. Do you use heat on your hair more than once a week? Well make sure and pick up your bottle today!

For The Fella’s: Say NO To Bar Soap

Say No To Bar Soap!
I was talking to my guy the other day and I asked him what does he use to cleanse his face. He said “duh bar soap”. The answer actually didn’t surprise me one bit, because well, guys will be guys. The easier the better to them. It may be easier, but it sure isn’t better. Bar soap contains surfactants, or surface active agents, which are meant to help lift dirt off your body. This is chemical is too strong for the skin on your face, which when used, causes your face to feel dry and tight. So guys, next time your in the grocery store, pick up a lathering facial cleanser in brands like Aveeno Clearacil, etc.
