Bigen Semi-Permanent Hair Color

I don’t know where I’ve been but I had no idea that Bigen now sells semi-permanent hair color. I was looking in this month’s Essence magazine and saw an ad for it. The ad said it was new, but how new? Anyway if you’re like me and didn’t know, well now you do!

Bigen’s Semi-Permanent Hair Color comes in 10 colors. According to Bigen’s site the colors are,

Gentle, oil-rich, conditioning formulas with honey, beeswax & sunflower, provide long-lasting color without ammonia or peroxide. Excellent gray hair coverage. Safe for all hair types including chemically treated and relaxed hair. Leaves hair shiny, soft and beautiful.

Below are the swatches again and the name of each shade.

I haven’t tried this semi yet but I may soon.

I just tried it and Jet Black turned my gray purple.  I’ve used the powder form years back and I remember it coloring well, but made my hair brittle.  I jumped at the opportunity to try the liquid form, but now I wish I had not.
